Our Process

Retirement Wealth Process

As the old saying goes, “Failing to plan is planning to fail.” You have worked hard to earn and save your money, so it is too important to not have a plan for it.

If you’re retired (or close to it), our complimentary Retirement Wealth Process will provide you with answers to three critical questions:

  1. Will you run out of money in retirement?
  2. Are you overpaying your taxes?
  3. Is your portfolio suitable for retirement?

Answers to these questions (and others you have on your mind!) are documented and delivered in a personalized Retirement Roadmap.

For those who are retired or close to it and a good fit for our firm, there is no cost or obligation for this process as we want you to know exactly how we can help you before you pay us a single dollar in fees or trust us with a penny of your nest egg.

Step 1: Initial Phone Meeting

Before committing your time or ours, this 15-minute phone call will give us both a chance to make sure your situation matches our expertise. After all, if you need a heart surgeon, you wouldn’t see a brain surgeon.

If we aren’t a good fit for each other we will gladly introduce you to a firm who is better suited to your needs.

Step 2: First Office Meeting

Prescription without evaluation and diagnosis is malpractice

The goal of this meeting is to get perfectly clear on your goals, concerns and unique financial situation.

Your answers to our questions, along with the documents we requested you bring, will guide our analysis, which will result in plain-English answers to four critical questions.

Step 3: Our Analysis

This is where the magic happens.

We will apply all of our  experience, thousands of hours of training and mentoring by the industry’s top experts to answer the following questions:

  • Can you afford to retire?
  • Are you overpaying your taxes?
  • Can your portfolio be improved?
  • Can you eliminate, or at least reduce threats to your retirement?

Step 4: Second Office Meeting

This is where the proverbial rubber hits the road

During this meeting we will explain, in plain English, exactly what you need to do to achieve your financial goals, including the answers to the four questions we asked during our analysis.

This is where you will see, in dollars and cents, how our firm can improve your finances.

At the end of this meeting we will ask if you would like to begin working with our firm or if you would like to sleep on it.

Step 5: You Go Home, and Decide

Having been in business for nearly two decades, we are in no rush for you to make a decision. Prior to deciding whether we should work together, you will want to answer the following questions:

  • Do I like/trust/respect the team at Wichita Wealth?
  • Will the benefits they provide exceed their cost?
  • Do I understand and agree with their investment philosophy?
  • Do their recommendations make sense to me?

Step 6 - Third Meeting/Paperwork

During this meeting we will answer any questions you have and if you are ready, start the paperwork to become a client.

Prior to this meeting we will have sent you a detailed explanation of this process and answered all of your questions and concerns.

*While we would love to work with you, if you decide that it’s not a good fit we will wish you all the best and every success. In other words, there is never a hard-sell or pressure to say yes.

After we decide to work together, we also have an ongoing relationship and have an annual review in the fall and a phone checkup call in the spring and can also schedule a meeting as needed if you have specific questions.
